Kyleeann Kisses

Kyleeann has a special way of giving kisses....

 She use to only give me kisses but she has now included Robert on her list of people who she will kiss

 It's more like an attack on the cheek and it lasts awhile and sometimes involves babble but mostly lots of slobber

 We all think it is funny

Reading

Some more pictures of her reading. We read three books at night as part of her bedtime routine and there is always at least one book in the diaper bag.

She loves to read and I love that!

 We found some Dr. Seuss books on sale at Sam's Club and this is one of them.

Bedtime

I never get tired of watching her sleep. She finds the most interesting ways to sleep. Sometimes I will go in and she will be the complete opposite direction of where I laid her down. I don't know how sleeping with her legs up the side of her crib would be comfortable but she was this way for quite awhile.

Kangaboo

I ordered a new thing for Kyleeann on Etsy the other day called a Kangaboo. It goes in the shopping cart and I was so excited for it to get here and opened it with Kyleeann. 

It has velcro and she did NOT like the sound it makes when opening it. I thought the face she was making was hilarious so I had to take a picture. She was even bracing the couch for the noise. 

 This is the kangaboo in action! She loves being able to see what is going on in the store instead of being trapped in her car seat.

Mardi Gras SWAG

Robert drove the Firetruck in the Mardi Gras parade and we met him at work afterwards to go somewhere. We got there before he finished and we didn't want to wait in the car so we watched them clean up from the parade. His coworkers just kept giving Kyleeann more and more leftovers, she got quite the collection and all without going to the parade. She loves her duck and the purple and yellow monkey the most.

Strawberry Picking

We went Strawberry picking at Froberg's with Candace, Julie, and Penelope!

 It was a beautiful day!

 Kyleeann got to ride in the cart while we looked around inside giving my arms a much wanted break.

Solids

Kyleeann is over 6 months and so she can have solid foods! Exciting times for a little baby! 

Here she is enjoying avocado

 It was her first time having it and I knew it might get messy and didn't want it to get on her clothes hence them missing from the picture.

 That is some potato leftover on her mouth. She was about to get in the tub so she was a happy girl.

Sunglasses

Kyleeann got a pair of sunglasses in her stocking. We took advantage of the nice sunny weather this weekend and put them to good use. 

This is on our 45 minutes walk, she left them on the entire time

 This was taken on the way home from the gym tonight. She got fussy the last few minutes she was in child watch and was still doing her sad breathing on the way out but once I put her sunglasses on to go outside she got a huge smile on her face.

I love having this mirror in the car so I can watch her in my review mirror

Whoo's Whoo

Tonight was the first RS Activity of the Texas City Branch. A couple weeks ago I got called as the Relief Society meeting coordinator and this was our first activity. Since we are still new and there are so many of us in the branch that don't know each other well the Relief Society presidency wanted to do a get to know you activity which I thought was a great idea. I went with the theme Whoo's Whoo and kept it simple.

This is everyone that came, we had a great turnout!

 Our activity was speed friend-shipping (a play on speed dating). I had the timer set for 4 minutes and then the right side rotated down one seat and the timer started over. There were snacks along the table to munch on while they talked. The snacks were clearance valentines candy and chex mix with strawberry water to drink. Strawberry water isn't fancy just regular water with sliced fresh strawberries in it, delicious!

It was a hit! I am so glad it turned out, I was kind of worried but now the pressure is on to have another great activity for next month! 

Valentine's Day

 I was not good at getting pictures today! This is Kyleeann in her Valentine's day shirt not that you can see it.
It say's Daddy (heart shape) me! It was on clearance for $2.50 at Carter's. I don't know why her bow isn't on her in this picture but she did have a cute bow on.

Robert and I went to P.F. Chang's for dinner, just the two of us. It was a lot of fun! No pictures :(

Farewell Dinner

Robert's parents are moving to Virginia so we had a farewell dinner at the Aquarium in Kemah with us, Robert's parents and the Dawson's. 

Daniel(2) sat next to Kyleeann. He adores her and she loves him. She also sat right across from the giant aquarium so she had lots of things to watch and entertain her.

This is the only picture I got. I really need to up my picture taking game!

Ferry Ride

We decided to take a little trip across the ferry. Kyleeann loves to be outside with the wind in her hair and it was nice to go for a little drive just for the fun of it. 

 There was a little girl feeding the birds on the ferry and the bird were going crazy for the food. Kyleeann loved watching the swarm of birds!

The ferry is in Galveston and goes not very far over to the Bolivar Peninsula. It is a free ferry and the ride is maybe 20 minutes. They constantly have the ferry boats going back and forth, I have never had to wait long. In the summer it can get kind of busy.  

Photo wall(s)!

The walls in our apartment are so bare! With the photos from Kyleeann's photo shoot I decided to do a photo wall in our living room and also some photo's in Kyleeann's room. And I may have blogged about this before I can't remember but even if I did it didn't have Kyleeann's in it.

The very bottom of the photo is the very top of her crib. It makes me happy to see it every time I go in there!

A bonus picture of Kyleeann playing in her crib. I was cleaning up in her room and so she went in her crib with some toys so I could keep an eye on her.

New Rims

Somehow my rims were making the air slowly leak out of my tires, especially the driver's side ones, so I had to get new rims. Not as good looking as my other ones but oh well as long as I am not having to constantly fill up my tires!

Fire Station #5

For playgroup we toured a fire station in Galveston. It was a lot of fun! Kyleeann loved it, so much for her to see, they even turned the lights on for awhile which she loved. 

Look at all those little ones, I'm sure the firemen felt invaded!

She even got a plastic fireman's hat! She wasn't in her stroller the whole time, just while we were waiting for everyone to get there.

Bath Time!

Kyleeann has taken her baths in the kitchen sink since she was born but now that she is 6 months old and getting bigger the kitchen sink is just not big enough. Well my kitchen sink isn't big enough, I'm sure she could still fit into Grandma Sherri's kitchen sink.

 Such a little cutie!

 Yes she is in a laundry basket. It is easier for both of us for her to be in the tub in a laundry basket. She can't fall backwards and her toys can't get too far away from her.

Family Photos

While we were all together in Arizona we took family photos. We haven't all been together since Robert and I got married and so we were missing a few people (3 babies born in 2013).
