RS Birthday Celebration Activity

I have been in charge of activities since the branch started but I never blog about it partly because I usually forget to take pictures. This month I got a good selection of pictures.

We had it last night on March 17th because that is the day that the Relief Society organization started.
For the activity we went over some history about Relief Society and why it is important to us and then we learned how to decorate cakes. It was a really fun night!

Relief Society timeline and bios of the 16 Relief Society presidents
Table display (ignore my stuff that I didn't feel like moving)

We had leprechaun floats (lime sherbet and ginger ale) and a delicious snack mix
Learning some frosting techniques
Making some pretty cakes!
My cake! The n's look like an m but oh well I still really like her name in cursive
Side view, the tie dye frosting was my favorite

Extreme earache pain

I woke up at 5 this morning because of so much pressure in my ear. By 7 when everyone else woke up it was sharp pain and I felt like my eardrum was going to explode.
I went to rediclinic at 8 to get it checked and get a prescription. HEB's pharmacy where I usually go doesn't open until 10 on Sunday and I was in pain so I had them send it to Walmart which I don't like as much but I thought they opened at 9 and it's the closest to home. Turns out they don't open until 10 either and it was not quite 9 by the time I figured that out (in the store) so Kyleeann and I went home to wait and I took some ibuprofen to help with the pain.
We went back at 10 and there was already a line so we waited only to find out it had never come through from the doctor. Luckily he had given me a paper one I could give them and they said it would be a half hour. My ear was still hurting and Kyleeann was ready to nap and not be at the store so we went Easter egg shopping instead. Which I normally wouldn't do because it is Sunday but I needed something to help keep my mind off the pain and to help Kyleeann forget how tired she was.

This is how we both felt having to wait and really how we felt about the whole experience, there unfortunately is a lot more to the story....

A half hour later I get to the counter right as they are bagging it and she is about to ring me up and goes one of them is $193 let me see if there is a cheaper one you can get. Turns out there is but a doctor has to change it so they say they are going to call and ask them to send in a new one. So Kyleeann and I went and walked around again for 10 minutes before just going back there to wait. The lady behind the counter saw me and told me that they haven't been able to get a hold of the doctor and recommended I go home and wait there and they would call when ready. She told me this for a mothers sanity sake,  Kyleeann only had one shoe at this point which she had pointed out worried that we lost it in the store but really it was in my bag because I was sick of putting it back on after she kicked it off for the fourth time.
It's 11 by this point so I do go home so I can put Kyleeann down. Who went to sleep very easily and quickly. I really wanted a nap as well, I woke up way too early but while the ibuprofen did kick in and my ear pain was now bearable it still didn't feel great. I laid in bed and I actually did finally fall asleep but 20 minutes later Robert started texting me and I couldn't fall back asleep. 20 minutes is better than nothing.
Well the pharmacy finally called at 1:15 and said it was ready but Kyleeann was still sleeping and they told me they are closed from 1:30-2. Kyleeann woke up at 1:45 and was ready for lunch but I was tired and in pain and this is what she got:
I had picked up a box of doughnuts while we were walking around Walmart for that hour. I was in too much pain to eat until the ibuprofen kicked and could realize I was hungry.
Not healthy but she ate it well and didn't drag out eating like she sometimes does which I needed because I really wanted to get to the store!

Finally after waiting in line one more time I walked out with two prescriptions in hand at 2:30. Now I just have to remember to take pills three times a day and drops two times a day for 10 days. Hopefully the pain will finally fully go away tomorrow.

Dog Parade

We went to the Texas City Dog Parade
It was a chilly morning
She really likes to wave and say bye bye to passing cars and airplanes
Kyleeann loves dogs and had a blast

Adventures in Galveston

We were down in Galveston and decided to stop by the Pyramids.
She power walked the Rainforest Pyramid.
Checking out the Aquarium
We had a lot of fun.

The next week we went to check out the Galveston's Children Museum with Wendy, Daniel, and Hyrum
She had so much fun
Her favorite activity, you put marbles and it makes music as it falls down.
Lego wall
I don't know who did this but I was impressed
Her favorite sign for some reason...
Performing on stage
Playing with fish on a really cute boat. I should have gotten a better picture of the boat.
There were so many fun things to play with

Reading in bed

I love watching her read in bed
A few minutes later she fell asleep....

Mardi Gras

Kyleeann with some of her Mardi Gras beads her daddy brought her.
They are so cute together!

Random photos from February

Blowing bubbles on the porch.
Chilling in her toy basket
Making a mess and playing with her laundry basket
She really likes to play with laundry...

Hanging with her bestie Liza
Climbing on the bench, she is really getting into climbing
This one I actually took on March 1st, close enough.
It is Hyrum and Kyleeann playing together. We went over for Daniel's 4th birthday, I missed getting a picture of the birthday boy.

Valentine's Day

Every year for Valentine's Day I make Robert Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies. This year I made them during her nap and they were cooling on the counter when she woke up and she saw them and wanted them. This little girl loves her cookies.
She was pretty mad I wouldn't give her one.
She got distracted with wearing my flip flops.
She has shoes on and a "bag" so she thinks she is all set to go out the door.
The next morning trying to get out the door for church.

Breakfast Time

Kyleeann loves cereal for breakfast, especially drinking milk out of the bowl.
She loves it so much she likes to leave some for later...
Yep that is a Kix stuck in her hair.
Enjoying cereal with Pinky, she wouldn't put Pinky down.
This one isn't from breakfast but I included it in here because it is her eating pancakes which is close enough.
We had pancakes for dinner for National Pancake Day.

Kindergarten Helper

We went and helped in Candace's kindergarten class for their 100 day party.

Of course to Kyleeann helping was eating their snack.

Her favorite was the cheese balls. She can now say cheese ball.
She even tried to blend in with the kindergarteners
Then the next week we went back to help with the Valentine's Day party where she got to have pancakes and a Capri sun. She loves Kindergarten!

Nursery!

18 months = finally able to go to Nursery
She did not love it like I thought she would, she would not stay in by herself the entire time. This face is more like what she thought and then when we tried to leave she screamed bloody murder which everyone in our tiny strip mall building could hear.
The next day we celebrated her officially turning 18 months with yummy cupcakes from Cold Stone.
