Kyleeann and Fire Ants

Last Saturday we are at a party in the backyard. There was a pool and slide and Kyleeann played there for awhile but eventually wandered around the yard and found a toy in the grass. Robert and I both had an eye on her while we were chatting and she was doing fine. Then all of sudden she was crying and Robert ran and got her from the fire ant hill she stepped in. Robert dunked her legs in the pool and then three of us worked on getting the rest off her. Luckily it was a party full of doctors, residents, and med students. She actually calmed down pretty quickly and we gave her Benadryl.

Here is before bed that night. Most of the bites were on her feet and her legs below her knees. She did get some above her knees as you can see in the picture. She got two on her stomach and a few on her arms.

They are still very noticeable. I have been having her only wear her flip flops so there is less to irritate the bites and at night she wears pajama shorts because pajama pants have elastic on the ankle and it bothers her. 

My Growing Girl

Kyleeann is getting so big!

We do a single pony tail instead of pigtails a lot now. It is easier to get her to stay still for one instead of two but it makes her look older!

I had a sinus infection and so I was going through a lot of Kleenex. Here she is following my example. 

We cuddled and watched Daniel Tiger while I was too sick to want to do anything else. Here we are cuddled with our blankets, she decided she needed three. 

We went to the store and I didn't realize until I went to get her out that she had buckled herself in.

Rylee's Visit

Our favorite Sister missionary (she served in our branch for 9 months) came back and visited us. It was a great visit!

We went on a bike ride along the Seawall. Kyleeann really did enjoy herself just not for pictures. 

I had fun until the very end when a bird pooped on my foot. It was disgusting. Luckily it happened the last two minutes and not at the beginning. 

We went to Kemah

And I loved that Rylee had fun with her in there so I didn't have to get wet. 

We also went to the Aquarium Downtown. She is mad we pulled her out of the water to take a picture and then left.

Before she went to the water we did everything else, the aquarium, sting rays and rides.

The aquarium has a White Tiger Exhibit. She loved it! The tiger was huge and at one point was pacing in front of the glass where she was and then just snapped at her, she jumped back in surprise and then laughed. 

Those are my pictures from Rylee's trip but we did a lot more and had so much fun. Kyleeann loved the extra attention!

April Arizona Trip

Wow I am really behind on blogging! 

In April Kyleeann and I went to Arizona and had lots of fun! 

On the plane staying entertained...

Luckily the middle seat was open because she did not want to sit on my lap, she wanted her own seat and wanted the seat belt on.

Even though Trey called her Abby the whole trip they still had a lot of fun together

Lexi took her for a ride and she loved it the first time not so much after that.

Kyleeann got to meet her Great Grandma Gingie and Great Grandpa Pete. Here is her 4 generation picture with my dads side. She didn't want to cooperate.
