Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

I am so lucky to have such an amazing job. She likes to stay out of the spotlight but she truly is amazing with all that she does and has accomplished. It is nice being so close to her now and that my daughters will get to know her so well. Not only is she an great example and support as a mother, she is an amazing grandma!
Kyleeann loves all her grandma time
I'm also so grateful I get to be mother to my sweet little girls.
At church my dad and another high priest were put in charge of the ward Mother's Day gift. They did a chocolate bar with a quote attached. I made a few options up for my dad to choose but we ended up using all three and just having 1/3 with each one. Here are the three:
They are all the same quote
And this one I left my little mark on 😉
It was a lot of fun to design them.
My Mother's Day included getting little sleep, teaching Relief Society, and lots of time with just me and the girls. Even though my mom was sick she made a wonderful dinner so that was nice to not have to cook. It was a great day, next year hopefully Robert won't have to work and we can be in the same state and I can get some more sleep.

Cough, cough go away

Last week Kyleeann got sick, I think she picked it up in Nursery. She woke up and didn't eat which is very unusual because she usually eats the most in he morning. Since she wasn't eating and I was trying to get whatever I could in her I let her have ice cream for lunch and even then she left a few bites in the bowl.
It was really hard for her to not see papa. Luckily grandma came over for a little bit everyday.

She slept in my bed for several nights, the diffuser is on the night stand with some breathe, lavender and on guard.
One afternoon on a day when I thought she was feeling better I put her down for a nap in her room and she didn't want to take a nap so she was crying but I knew she was tired and get over it quickly. She woke up after not very long and so I went in there and her room stunk, I thought she just needed a new diaper but when I got closer she was covered in throw up. I felt so bad, it was dried on her shirt so she must have thrown up before she fell asleep. I think she was coughing so hard that is why she did and not because it was part of her sickness.
This picture was later that day.
One night she woke up while I was in the living room with Loralei and she wanted to rock with us and she quickly fell asleep, you can just tell she was miserable. I put Vicks and socks on her feet at night. After the first night of doing it she would ask for her foot medicine 😂 every night while she was getting ready for bed.
Luckily she is doing so much better! Still a little cough lingering but not very much. Hopefully the sickness bug stays away from our house for a long time!

Happy Birthday Robert!

I should have written this on Robert's birthday but better late than never.
April 23rd Robert turned 31!
Wendy was so sweet to make him red velvet cake balls since I wasn't around to make them. Thanks Wendy!
She also sent me the pictures, in this one you can see some of Kyleeann on Robert's phone, we were on FaceTime.
Since we couldn't celebrate in person Loralei wore her "I love daddy" onesie
(Every time Kyleeann sees this picture she says "Arrgh! Loralei is a pirate!" 😂)
Kyleeann painted daddy a cake and keeps asking about his party.
And Loralei had a blowout and needed a new outfit halfway through the day so I dressed her to represent Robert's team. I got this for Kyleeann to wear while watching football games with her dad but Loralei will be too big for it by the time football season rolls around so I figured this would be her only chance to wear it.
And she was freshly bathed so her hair is straight up 😂

3 months!

Loralei is 3 months old! It has gone by so fast! We love this sweet cute girl! I would love if she learned to sleep in a little more, she wakes up between 5:30-6:15, and is happy but still too early for me to want to be awake. She has great head control and is already trying to sit up. With the move and everything she didn't go to the doctor for her 2 month well check until today. Weighing in at 13.1 lbs and 23.5 inches. Getting her vaccines was not pleasant, she high pitched screamed during her oral vaccine and cried during the shots and then would calm down for a minute or two and go back to screaming. I rocked her to sleep in her car seat as we checked out at the front desk. Since we did this appointment late her doctor said to do 5 month, 7 month check ups instead of 2,4,6 and then we will get back on track with the 9 month visit.
We love you Loralei Lyne!
