Why go above when you crawl under

Kyleeann loves her exersaucer but she doesn't go into too often anymore, mostly she just crawls under there and plays. She loves to bring toys or usually it's my flip flops and puts them under there. Sometimes she just crawls through it which is defienetly not a short cut or the path of least resistance, whatever floats her little goofball boat.
It's not just hers she likes to be under. She was playing under Hyrum's the other day while we were over. Silly girl!

Cookies!

I needed to make cookies for something and I had just seen mini ones on Pinterest and decided to make those. My plan was to not give Kyleeann sugary treats until she was at least one but they were too cute not to give her one...or two...or three... 11 months two weeks is close enough
She loved it!
So fun to watch her eat it
Small cookies but she still managed to get chocolate all over her hands and face

Moody Gardens

We got a membership to Moody Gardens so we can have somewhere to escape out of the house. We went last week with Ashlee and Liza and has lots do fun. Kyleeann would not take a morning nap but we went anyway and she was good the whole time and had fun but wow will she not react to people.
At the Aquarium pyramid in the shark tunnel there were two scuba divers cleaning and one of them was waving to her and trying to get her to smile and she just stared.
Super nice scuba guy waving and she would not smile.
Has her foot propped up on her tray of course.

Standing up

Kyleeann is pulling herself up on everything. She can reach a lot of things when she stands, like into the kitchen trash can (gross!)

She really enjoys getting into things she shouldn't

Big Girl Car seat

We moved Kyleeann into a big car seat, she still fits into her infant carrier but soon she will get too big and I thought it was time.
It was inside a few days before Robert had time to put it in my car. She loved playing with it, she would sit in it and play with the straps and put her toys or my shoes in it.
She fell asleep and it looks so uncomfortable!
On the way home from church she was reading her book with such concentration. It was so funny to watch I wish I could have gotten a picture but when I parked she stopped.
Little girl is growing up fast!

Sunday Naps

Sunday is a hard day for naps. 9:00 is both her morning nap time and when church starts. Kyleeann goes down really easy for naps, I swaddle her, she gets her binky, and put her in her crib wih her music on and leave. It is awesome for me and her except for when we are at church. She has to be really tired to go to sleep in somebody's arms and it takes being somewhere quiet, free of distractions and even once she does fall asleep a lot of noise or movement wakes her up. This also limits when and where in our small building. I usually put her to sleep once Sunday School starts but then I have to hold her without moving much and she is heavy and warm and finally I came up with a great idea. Put her on the floor. I lay a burp cloth for a "pillow" and lay my nursing cover on the floor for a little padding. She sleeps there great until too much movement is going on for Relief Society and I get to sit comfortably during Sunday School.

Happy Fourth of July!

Kyleeann's first Fourth of July! Red, White, and Blue!
We found the daisies at Walmart while we were shopping and decided to get them.

We went to a BBQ over at the Rhoads and I made fruit pizza cupcakes to take. They were delicious! I think they will be my new go to Fourth of July dessert because they are easy and festive.

We went home before the fireworks because Kyleeann was tired and it looked like it might rain by the time they started. It was a great day, we all had so much fun!

11 Months!

I couldn't get on with her sitting down
I'm amazed her flower is in her hair in the picture. Lately she has been taking the flower out and leaving her headband on.
The board is kind of hard to read, it says:
Went to the ocean
Gets into everything
Had her first fever

We have been to the beach before but this time we went into the water. I sat her on the edge of the water so the waves would gently come up on her. She loved it. We had to come home and take a shower right away because we were both covered in seaweed (gross!).

On Sunday night she woke up with a fever of 100.5, her first fever. On Monday she slept a lot and was not interested in solid foods or reading, defienetly not normal for her. Her fever was gone by the time she went to bed Monday night and she was pretty much acting like herself on Tuesday. I don't know what was wrong exactly but I'm glad it didn't last long.
